Diagnosis and Treatment of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS I or RSD) with Pictures, compared to Nerve Entrapments

Will instruct attendees how to critically evaluate RSD and CRPS patients. It will explain the use of a questionnaire available over the Internet, which can predict the presence of abnormal medical testing with 95% accuracy, and predict who will not have medical abnormalities with 85%-100% accuracy. Another questionnaire gives diagnoses with a 96% correlation with those of Johns Hiopkins Hospital doctors and results can be copied and pasted into the chart, thereby eliminating typing and dictation.

Why should you Attend: Johns Hopkins doctors report that 71% to 80% of patients “diagnosed” with RSD or CRPS actually have nerve entrapment syndromes. Patients who do not get well are often called as “fraudulent” when in fact they are misdiagnosed 40%-80% of the time. The average amount of time a physician spends getting a history is 11 minutes, during which time, the doctor speaks 7 of the 11 minutes.

It will describe a test used by Johns Hoipkins Hospital to detect patients with a valid complaint of pain, This questionnaire was developed by Johns Hopkins Hospital doctors, and has always has been admitted as evidence in 9 states, in over 30 cases. It takes only 5 minutes of secretarial time to administer over the Internet.

Once the valid complaint of pain has been established, additional medical intervention was indicated. RSD and CRPS patients were given an Internet based questionnaire which produces diagnoses with a 96% correlation with diagnoses of Johns Hopkins Hospital doctors. Then, based on these diagnoses, the results recommend testing using the Johns Hopkins Hospital protocols. These results can be copied and pasted into the chart, eliminating typing and dictation for the physician, and saving a lot of time. When the recommendations were followed, 71% to 80% of the patients previously diagnosed with RSD or CRPS really needed peripheral nerve blocks and nerve decompression to get well.
